It's illegal here. We can't lease, sublet, or anything of the sort here. City laws prevent hospice care, group homes, homeless shelters, duplexes, hotels, and apartment complexes. That's only within city limits, outside it depends on the other cities.


Unlike most big cities in the US, the urban areas and suburban areas are unconnected. Each municipality is it's own unique unit with it's own government. We have an overarching county executive and a separate city executive, but each municipality has it's own laws. The municipalities to the east and north allow hotels and those other things.

Don't you watch Star Trek/Close Encounters etc? Everyone knows aliens speak English. At some stage in distant history.
