I’m personally an animal person. I’ve had dogs, cats, rodents and the occasional amphibian growing up. I currently have a dog (2 if you count my roommates) I want a cat. And might be getting a bearded dragon because it’s current owner doesn’t know the proper husbandry. And from there I’ll be raising insects to cover its diet providing he’s still a juvenile and not an adult.

Dogs are great, cats are better if you don't have a lot of time. Birds are ok, I've only have pigeons and chickens so I dont know too much. Never had a fish, rodents, or insects. Rats would be a interesting pet to have. The fancy/tamed ones, the regular wild ones are too disgusting.
It really depends on your lifestyle. With children? Dogs, cats, sometimes rabbits. In Japan? Insects, specifically cicada. Less maintenance? Maybe fish or birds. Companionship? Probably dogs or cats. In a remote or secluded place? Maybe some of the exotic animals, like lizards, snakes, tarantulas or scorpions
Personally, I've always been more of a dog person, grew up around them my whole life. They've always seemed like very affectionate animals with a lot of love to give. Plus there a lot more active so it makes them fun to play with too.

I’ve had dogs and cats. And fish. My dad brought home a turtle once when I was a kid. He had to return him back into the wild, coz we dk how to take care of him. I had a bird too. But my best one ☝️ was my cat Roger. I adopted him and he was soooo cute. Rip 🪦 Roger 💕
Depends on your lifestyle and needs. If you have the time and space, dogs are literally wired to be in tune with human emotions and form attachment.
If you need something more quiet and low key, fish would work along with reptiles
Rodents and rabbits are good starter pets and not as much commitment as a dog or cat since they live short lives
Cats are apartment pets where dogs aren't allowed. But you have to be OK with a pet going through teenage moodiness for a cat lol
Rabbis are not rodents. I have them and like them a lot, but a dog or cat is definitely the best choice for most people.
The match is more with the individual person to pet, no? Not necessarily the pet itself.
Cats. Easy to Take Care of and Can love Them as Well in your Arms. xx
I had a dog when I was a kid and he was awesome. Today you can't just let the dog roam the neighborhood. You have to keep him in your house or yard and take him for walks and pick up the poop. I think cats are a better choice today
I have had all of these types listed as pets at one point in my life. To this day, dog will be number one.
I mean it totally depends on the person and what they are capable of in a moment but dogs in general are the best pets..
The easiest pet to care for is a Pet Rock... never have to feed it, take it for walks, or pick up its poop.
If by best you mean what doesn't take much effort, get fish. If actual companionship pick a dog or a cat.
Cats get my vote, because they are so easy to take care of.
Most people tend to go for dogs or cats. I have kitty, but I do want a puppy some day.
Cats are the best if they like you. My cat snuggles with me all the time:’)
Don't keep pets.
It's not that good for them.
Rabbits, they’re so cute and quiet. They’re really nice.
It depends on the person. I prefer reptiles, but a snake wouldn't be the best pet for someone who is afraid of snakes.
People who said cats over dogs are out of their minds. Nothing is as loyal and affectionate as dogs.
Dogs are the most intelligent and loyal. Unlike other animals, dogs aren't loners. Dogs are pack animals so they do well with families.
Dogs all the way! Cats are ok. But cat people are usually lazy people. I'd love to see a cat defend them 🤣.
A big dog will run into a burning house to pull you out.
