My father had a silver dollar from 1923 which was the year he was born. his mother gave it to him before he went in the Army during WW2. He had it the whole time he was in a POW camp in Germany. When he died I ended up with it. Sometimes I carry it around.
I have something similar from my grandfather.
Such a meaningful item to have. Getting goosebumps with some of these stories. Thanks for sharing this with us.
a collection of WWII USA Zippo lighters. my Grandfather took them off of most of the soldiers he killed. we split them up between all the grand kids though so i only have 3. one silver and shinny and 2 flat black. He said the Americans were issued the black ones because they didn't shine and give away position. thats why the silver one is my favorite. some kid brought his own from the states
Powerful. Thank you for sharing. 🥹
I found a beautiful pebble once at the beach it was perfectly round, pearly white, shiny, and it felt nice to the touch. I remember saying I wanted it as my good luck charm taking it with me to school. I just really liked that pebble I think 🤣. I have no idea where it is now.
When I was a teen I had a rabbits foot for good luck. It didn't work very well. A car ran me down & nearly ended my life.

I bought a "Money Tiki" at a flea market in Hawaii. It said, "Keep this Money Tiki in your possession and money and good fortune will be yours." I put it right next to my piggy bank 10 years ago, and have been doing really well in terms of income and travel.
Good investment.
A Dollar Bill. ? 🍀Back in 2005 I found this one Dollar Bill face up on the ground and I laminated the Bill and I keep in my wallet. 🍀

I had a rabbit’s foot when i was very young. Then i had this cap off of a can of spray paint that i let someone convince me had something to do with my ability to spell well during spelling bees. So i kept it right up until i placed 2nd. Ell oh ell!
Wonderful!
As a kid, I used to have a key ring with all the little charms we'd get in the gumboil machines. I likes the trinkets more than the gum. There was this one particular machine in a particular Goldblatt's (store) that had a HUGE ratio of trinkets to gum. So, about every other penny would get me a trinket or even two.
A leaf from a tree from Elvis Presley's Gracelandm Carried it in my wallet for years.
That’s an interesting memento.
I had a Saint Christopher medal I wore during 3 tours of combat for luck (I'm not Catholic) I then gave it to my girlfriend. We parted ways then 33 years later we got back together. So it brought good luck.
Love this. Thank you for your service, too.
Yeap, they put me in jail. Won't touch one again
Say what?
Yes, now you need to share. : )
Every time I tried carrying a good luck charm. I ended up in jail
What was/were your good luck charm (s)?
@humanearth That’s not the best result.
My lucky chram was a bra that hanged between my handle bars and would use the bra as a sling shot to shoot handfuls of jello at the shaitan poltergeist
Yes a particular designed shirt from a seafood restaurant. I don’t know why but something, no matter how small, something always happens to me that’s good. So I’ve named them my good luck shirts 👍🙂
rituals many... but a lucky charm per se, never... lol
I should not mess with those
Nope. I mean my ex felt like a good luck charm… but she stoped giving my luck…
I have had various "good luck" charms in my life but I've never had good luck so, I don't think they worked.
When I was a kid I had some glass lucky ducks but I can't say as I noticed any change in my fortune
A rabbit's foot, and my sister and I had a few horseshoes we found
I do have one… it helps fix my mood hahaha
Can they be reproduced? 🤓
Yes, my girlfriends patch of public hair. Always good to me, while eating her.
Sure but they never worked
Agreed. I think it was easier to spot things that brought bad luck. And toss them. : )
Yeah like a nail
Yes, I'm very superstitious! LOL!
I ALWAYS wear something purple!
Interesting. : )
No, maybe I need one lol
Can it be me? 😂🤣
I have only heard of them.
No. I never believed in that kind of stuff.
No not really God is my luck
Then I'm out of luck!😂
Well, at least SOMEONE is!😂🤣🤪👍
Never have.
