When did you beat the odds and came out a winner?
When did you beat the odds and came out a winner?
I haven't died yet... Survived all manor of crazy stuff that should have killed me and walked away without hardly a scratch as often as not...
Multiple car wrecks, lost a house to flood, another to fire and another to a tree falling through my bed with me on it... Almost lost my thumb my in a hydraulic lift gate once and had some nasty falls. Even dodged a lightning strike from less than 10 feet too.
I did NOT get injured or killed in that plane crash where the landing gear collaped.
Off the top of my head… I live in Vegas. Gambled twice in the three years I’ve lived here. The first time I gambled, I put $20 into the machine and cashed out at $240. Second time I went to gamble, I put in $60 and cashed out at $780. Essentially, people I know who gamble keep me around as a good luck charm. Never fails.
Twice in my short life before I turned 18 I should have been dead. Thank the lucky stars I beat the odds stacked against me & survived.
short? You are half way home baby. I am more than half way home.
@exitseven Thanks for a MHO.

I was in that honey giveaway thing & they gave me like $25
Twice at work: 1st time I was almost struck by lightening trying to get people inside ahead of a storm. The lightening hit, my vision went completely white, and I somehow ended up on the floor inside the door I was headed towards unharmed.
Second was a construction worker who parked his van in our lot which blew up 15 minutes after I got there. Flames and smoke completely filled the two story lot, his tires exploded, everything. Fifteen minutes earlier, I'd driven in and temporarily parked next to him, before remembering my moms advice to never park near vans, because someone could jump out and try and grab you, so I'd moved my car all the way to the other end. Had I not done that, my car would have been trashed.
I drove drunk eleventy bazillion times and never hurt or killed someone. Never even had an accident, actually. That’s probably why i have nothing but bad luck left. Ell oh ell!
Luck isn't always good, one can have really good bad luck, and that is me for sure. I have tons of bad luck.
There is a guy on my team at work, that has the best luck ever... in the last few years, he was given a truck, nice truck... needed a new transmission but that was it. So fix that and he got a free diesel pickup.
He then won a jet ski at a contest he entered, then later on he won a snowmobile. Like wtf, how can anyone have that much good things happening to them.
Oh and last black Friday he won again at a furniture store and got some free furniture.
This guy literally seems to win all kinds of stuff... and he says he has no idea how it happens.
There is no such thing as luck. Everything happens randomlly no matter what, and that is not luck.
Am gonna stay stubborn here, a chance is not luck. Sorry 😁
Being born and still being alive somehow. Don't take it for granted.
Last school year, I finally got enough PBIS points to get a Wacky Pack Kid’s Meal for Sonic, and then a week or two after that when my days of Middle School are finally coming to and end, I randomly get two more for free. ZINGO! OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH- EYOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH-____
my goal is to be as rich as a Carnegie one day. But i stay winning when I can't beat the odds and can't chest the cards in comes luck, I will also call it a blessing but for the huge amount of people who don't believe it's luck.
Moving like Charlie Lucky Luciano out with the business moves.
I found a bunch of gold rings and watch that was about $1000 in scrap. Then once I was bidding on some cards and they were 1971 Topps and I could see top card and I kid back will be Johnny Bench. I look , and it is Johnny Bench. That is like winning lottery. There are 500 card set , so like 1 in 520 chance that would Johnny Bench.
When it was a class presentation day, and I hadn't finished my presentation, and my teacher was drawing names from a hat, and didn't get to my name until the next day, meaning I had that night to finish it. What were the odds of that!

Same. I never take anything for granted including my health
Ha! Luck! Luck is for women and children! I've NEVER f*ckin' been lucky! I literally mean that.
Being born to a family that doesn't horrifically rape or torture me. You wouldn't believe how common that shit is!
