+1 yI think I am fairly average, honestly. I’ve been in a few collisions that were not my fault - all rear enders, generally because the other person was on their phone or fiddling with the radio, and one was clearly drunk. But I was able to have the car fixed every time since damage was only minor. And the car was a 2001 Volvo, meaning it was an absolute TANK.
March 2021, my beloved car was totalled as it was T boned by a red light runner. Broke my leg but thankfully that was the extent of injuries for me. Let me tell you that there is nothing scarier than driving along, minding your business, then suddenly you are sent spinning across a busy intersection and into a street lamp, and you have no idea what the hell happened until it’s all over with. I’m so thankful that nobody was waiting at the bus stop. The lady who hit me was turned around tending to her children while going through the light, as seen on a witness’ dash cam. The children were not hurt but they were very frightened.
So, I have learned a lot. I learned that I cannot trust other drivers at all, that I need to be looking out for myself. I am decent at anticipating what others might do, but not perfect.

+1 yQuality time with my father was mainly driving so. We started when I was 13, it's second nature. But hell other drivers freak me out a little. You look in front of you and you're like "Is he gonna crash? I think he's gonna crash. He still has like 10 m's he should be good. O he actually crashed" How do some of these accidents happen? Why do others sway from one lane to the other and back to get past other drivers like it's a street race? Why do some drive half the speed of what's allowed? There are some horrible creatures behind the wheel.

No. I've almost never driven a car before. Only one month for driving school, so I could get my driver's license and it cost me like $800 in lessons, plus department of transportation processing fees, in order to get it. I have maybe less than 10 hours of lifetime driving experience.
I'm still better than most women, though! (BA DUM TSS! 🥁)

Careful what you disclose. Mitsubishi will never sell you one of their sand-dune-eaters with that kinda talk.

+1 yI’m better than before, I think.
I hit a car once, but fortunately I was backing up. So the only thing I broke was my car’s taillight, the other car was fine.
I used to straight up almost cut off cars. I’d speed almost anywhere, mostly at night. One time I raced my boyfriend down the highway to his house, and guess who got there first!
I was just very careless. It’s been a few months, I don’t feel very “uplifted” or focused, so I’ve stopped being a hazard on the road.10 Reply 1.1K opinions shared on Other topic. Always was an excellent driver. One of the first places I drove on was the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. I was just 16 years old. I was driving a convertible and loved doing it so much. Going MACH 10 with my hair blowing in the wind.
Back then, they didn't have anything separating the incoming and outgoing traffic lanes. It was so close and I am surprised there weren't more accidents because of that.22 Reply- +1 y
@sage2021. "She'll have fun, fun, fun, until daddy takes the T-bird awaaaaay".
I'm a better, safer driver than almost all the guys I know, never a ticket or accident. I drive a very nice 2 seater sports car with a 6 speed manual transmission (which most of the guys I know can't drive), and I take great pride in both my car and my driving.

LMAO! That kid got hit literally like a cartoon character! Like some Milhouse sh*t from The Simpsons or something! 🤣 Glad he's okay, but it looked almost fake! And that bicyclist is totally to blame for her accident! You can't assume putting your arm out as a turn signal will force them to stop!
+1 yOh yes. It helps when you can see over the steering wheel!

@bigpauly you can see “with minimal assistance” hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣
Relatively. I mean, I'm no Lewis Hamilton, but compared to the other numpties I encounter on the road, I'd say I'm pretty good.
