i just realised my work place is low-key toxic.
A joke I made was apparently offensive.
i mean she could’ve just pulled me aside and told me this but she just went to the manager.
i joked about her cracked up phone, not in a mean way. And then manager was telling me how some people can’t afford it and I shouldn’t make jokes like that, people can take offence.
My manager was telling me in a nice way to not do that cos people can take offence.
i did say it in the reception area but not like really loud or anything, we were all just joking around on a quiet.
Gosh I do have to leave this place.
people get offended so easily and can’t even pull me aside for a conversation.
i don’t even know how to speak up for myself or even know how to act in unexpected situations.
it’s also the fact that people here have told me to be careful and everyone leaves when they start working here.
Update: later on my manager tells me that this lady is abit sensitive and the other girls were also talking about that sensitive lady saying how she’s like this, like we all can take jokes but she can't.
Two faces everywhere, it’s like when I had the telling off or advice (manager didn’t tell me off she just was explaining to me) it’s like no one said shit at that time.
