Neighbours complaining about the noise?

We had a new neighbour who was complaining about the noise who came knocking on our door 3 times saying that we make banging noise at 1am when these time we’re asleep I was sleeping yesterday and my came in my room asking if I was make banging noises but I was sleeping and with the area it has poor insulation so you can hear the noises and then today my mum and my neighbour was arguing cause of the noise what should we do?

It may be the plumbing 🪠 in between floor. Those knocking signs are weaknesses in line. Call landlord telling them what the neighbor is hearing and that you have been asleep. Thst line blows and you get wet too. Renter Insurance ⁉️

If you have some sort of landlord even a manager then report the incident, you can do it anonymously but since you’ve already been direct with your neighbor they may know it was you anyway. Still I think it’s worth reporting..
