Noisy neighbors?

How would YOU handle noisy, inconsiderate neighbors? A couple and their noisy dog moved upstairs. They’re constantly slamming their front door, instead of holding it so it doesn’t slam. It just happened awhile ago again, three times the door slammed. So I finally went to my bedroom door and let it slam, because that’s where the missus of the house is now with the crazy dog that barks at all the squirrels on the balcony of the apt. A taste of their own
medicine is what people sometimes need. I don’t hear them now.

I saw their door this morning, and there’s a lockbox on it. Apparently they have been asked to move by the property owner.
I will celebrate when I know for sure. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

So now, I am worrying about who will come next above me. I have reason to believe that the owner of the unit (he never lived there) is selling the unit, so that when its bought, I will have to accept whatever the neighbors are like--no matter what circumstances or howevert nosiy they are. Hopefully it will be bought by a quiet couple or person.

What you did might help. Then again, if their door is constantly slamming, it may be mis-adjusted and you might want to mention that to your landlord or maintenance person.

I think it might be because the outer screen door looks like it doesn’t close all the way. But it was that way when the previous tenants lived there, and they never slammed the door.

@Amy10223 Re: your update about the unit being sold... maybe you can buy it, sell yours and move upstairs. That way, you'd have no noise above you.

I know someone else who also lives in a remote place. So remote he can’t get deliveries from Amazon or DoorDash. His dog got lost, never came back. He’s sure some animal got him.
