Catholics: What if you don't have your first communion or confirmation?

I am catholic and I was baptized, but my family doesn't go to church. I heard that if you didn't have your communion you go to hell and you can't get married in a church. Is it too late?

If you believe God loves you, then why would you even consider that he would send you to hell, for something so small? If communion is something that is important to you, then do it as soon as you get the chance. However don't worry about being sent to hell over it. Jesus loved you enough to die for your sins. Do you really think Jesus would go through all that, and not let you in heaven to do a lack of going to communion. Jesus forgave the man dying on the cross right next to him. That man did not have the chance to go to communion. Do you deserve any less than the man that died next to Jesus? God can look into your heart and know what you really feel for him.

Then you're screwed and would go to hell and won't be able to get married! Lol I'm Just messing with you yeah there is time but its going to take longer from what I heard. The confermation is year and I only did in 4 months I had the monjita read the Bible for us at my house. So I say you get that so it can be shorter.

Honestly, if you really want to get married in a place that threaten to make you suffer for eternity if you don't have your communion then by all means do... But honestly... I had all three of my communions and I will never get married in a church lol

You can't get married in a Catholic Church

It's never too late babe. I had a family member who had to do a quick communion when he was 50 because he was getting married

No , it's not too late. You can still have your first holy communion and confermation as an adult. Though there are classes that you will need to attend.

You can take classes to get initiated as an adult member of the Catholic Church at any time.

No there's nothing to say that if you don't receive the sacrament of Communion or Confirmation that you go to Hell.

It would, however, true that you might find it difficult to receive permission to marry in a church.
