Anyone have a rental home, how long does it take to find a renter?

Been on the market about a week now and tomorrow will only be the third person to look at it. Has the market cooled off considerably?

I had one a few years ago, and it really wasn't an issue renting it.
I just stuck a sign in the yard and had more inquiries than I could handle.
I was a nice place, great location.
I'm thinking we should have asked more for it.
I also have commercial property and I have a waiting list of people looking for space.
They are smaller spots so there just aren't many of those around.
Not everyone needs 10,000 sq ft.
I guess it comes down to location.
You will get a Tennant, treat them well and they will be there for hopefully a long time.

Depends upon the area. 3/2 here are 2200-2500 monthly. Landlord is my Business and others hire me to handle there's find units to purchase. We are in the process of going through a consortium of Investors and millions in cash to income producing rentals... hard assets Location... location... location !!!

Same here. Have it set at 2300 now. Will knock it down to 2100 after 30 days if it doesn't rent.

Property managers that aren’t Only NOT sell are much better. You making income is how they eat and pay bills. That’s different urgency

My dads mba friend said if your price is lower, you can guarantee interest on your property and we prefer to rent to people who have not obtained citizenship yet because they are renting for the opportunity and not because better options would not give them a chance and they are less likely to default on their payments cause it will affect their ability to get citizenship.

With interest rates going up, I expect more people to rent. It really depends on how much competition you have. I have seen it take a month to get a new tenant.

That's about what i'm expecting is have it filled in a month. I also figured more people would rent with the interest rates going up like you stated.

I have a five unit building. When a unit opens I price it about 10% below market in the area and it usually rents within days. I own it outright, so I do have flexibility.

Its not a question of finding renters theirs plenty of them its finding good renters thst pay their rent every month on time and don't destroy the place, I could tell you stories that would make you get or of that business

Depends on where you live, but in most major cities rents are going up across the board.

All rentalers and buying house I can't see how anyone can afford housing even mobile homes are off the charts
