I think it means you're not satisfied with yourself.. By your own standards... So when others do it you're not convinced...

You're not into it, you never compliment people and you try not to annoy them with what would seem useless and unnecessary.

I don't bother when people compliment me, but I myself don't do it to others. It just seems weird, if there is something good about you, why should I be telling you, don't you know already?

I used to get the anxiety and discomfort in the past from compliments and such, which now I don't. Possibly because I strive to be as masculine as possible and don't drink as much fluoride and atrazine as most people and frogs do. And it's hard not to be a dick when your male hormones are ok, I probably am one, since I don't feel a thing when I'm complimented.
But I also keep experimenting with various chemicals. For example I love a serotonin antagonist that makes you feel overly relaxed and shit, the opposite of a party drug, but once your receptors adjust to it and the drug leaves your system, you get a rebound high for a while until the receptors desensitize to their natural place. Cyproheptadine is special this way that it does not turn you into a total pussy during its action, but makes you less of a dick, which I need sometimes. And as I said as soon as you stop taking it you get a rebound that gives you a prolonged high, all of this seemingly with benefits to overall health in the long run, I am glad I discovered it.
