What is the difference between ego and confidence?

Ego and confidence?

Both are not related or connected in any way. I don't think so.

1. Ego is a negative quality which indicates a person thinks of themselves as superior and that they have the right to demand things as per their wish and everyone has to give them their time and serve them with fulfilling their needs.

2. Confidence is something that indicates that the person has the power to go after what they want and face the obstacles on the way until they reach their goal.

3. If a person is confident then they are not likely to be egoistic.

4. A confident person will have self respect but not superiority complex, whereas a person who has ego will have superiority complex.

5. A confident person will respect other people and their thinking whereas a person with ego will look down upon others and will have disregard for others.

6. Confidence gives you intelligence to know what is right and wrong and will prevent a person from doing wrong, immoral and unethical things.

On the other hand ego will prevent the person from doing the right things. Ego robs the person of their intelligence and the person only want satisfaction and to feel superior as compared to others.

7. A confident person will have nothing to prove to others, whereas a person with ego will always think they want to prove to the world that they are better and superior to others.

basically... the ego is an image, it is a way in which you think or see yourself, and more often than not the ego might think one is the shit and all that but... when actually confronted with adversity, the ego might end up pooping their pants

meanwhile, confidence can be build up through ACTUAL tested experience, it is build up character and it has been proven many times before

so, way more often than not, genuine confidence comes from a healthier self-esteem that has been gained properly... while the ego tends to come from a lack of self-esteem and a need to show off, more or less...

High ego is a result of low confidence. People with high egos tend to to brag and aren’t actually who they say they are in most circumstances , where people with confidence are usually more humble and know they have something and don’t need to prove it to others.
