cool as in trendy? sure, but remember, we'll all get old day ourselves and we wouldn't like it if the next generation disrespects us.

elderly people do tend to have our best interest at heart but they express it in a way that isn't relatable to younger people at all thus they can come off as demeaning and bitter.

for example, a lot of elderly folks aren't a fan of hookup culture. from our POV we might see them as jealous of us for having fun but in all honesty I believe they are trying to warn us about the dangers of hookup culture but their reasoning for it e. g. religion or simply name-calling doesn't help their case. it does take a special type of elderly individual to be able to explain his/her POV and be able to relate to younger people in a way that they can relate back.

But old people are the best. They also grew up in a time where they had morals and others have grown wise and know better these days.
