lol what are you on about? young people have been saying disrespectful shit to older people for years, constantly shitting on motherhood and fatherhood, that the old are just bitter and jealous etc. if there was any sense of entitled, it's definitely coming from people of my generation wanting to do stupid shit like affirmative action, defund the police and hold climate change protest on roads blocking traffic including emergency vehicles.

funny thing I've noticed on this site are people trying to lecture others on why age gap relationships are bad particularly towards the younger woman as if she's too dumb and too immature to understand what's going on. so yeah, it would it's not ok for old people to be "disrespectful" but perfectly ok for people like us to disrespect younger people.

Old people are above you in age and experience. They are not interested in being "on your level" all the time as they have paid their dues, you have not. Hence it's you that needs to make room for them as you are eating the fruits of their labour like a parasite. Of course, unless you too are making an equal or better contribution.

On the other hand, it could be they are a freed convict, and it's why they have got to that age. Hence they made no contributions to society.

But that is for them to know and you to find out.

So to bring it down to your level, - don't poke holes in your own roof, kid. You could be fucking with the wrong old person and not know it. But you can fuck around with all the young whippersnappers you like, as most of them ain't shit.

I'm a transwoman who lives in the bible belt and a little old lady coming out of the Walmart decided to say something to me as she and her husband began to pass about how "what I do is disgusting" and I snapped back that "her opinion only matters if I care"... Her husband started laughing until she started giving him an ear full, so I'm guessing I said what he has thought many times.

If a person is polite, be polite. If they're rude, well, age should come with grace.

It depends on their personality too because some people thrive off a positive or negative reaction. I look at them soft eyed with a sense of pity... or like a 3 year old. Often, okay... okay. Then, I exit. If it is Family then say what I was upset about in a gentle and matter fact way and let it go.
