Today's category is Mountains.

Can you name this Mountain? For a Bonus, Name the Countries where it's located.

Here are your clues:
* This is the 7th tallest and 2nd most prominent mountain on its continent
* Its peak is 4807m (15,774ft) above sea level
* It is on the border of two countries, and arguably a third
* The 1st Winter Olympics were held nearby
* Its peak is always snow-covered, year-round
* It was first ascended in 1786
* It was originally called "The Cursed Mountain"

The correct answer is MONT BLANC (Monte Bianco in Italian), on the border of France and Italy in Europe. Switzerland also claims part of it.

No clue. If I totally guessed I'd guess somewhere in the Andes because it looks arid and because of the coloring. If that's right, the two countries would probably be Chile and Argentina. I think the Andes further north in Peru look different. Although 15,774 sounds low for 7th highest in the Andes.

Pretty sure it's not N America. It's not Africa or Asia. That leaves the Andes or Alps, and it looks more like the Andes to me.

Nice analysis. You're right in that15K height is low for the Andes, so it must be somewhere else.

That leaves Europe, but off the top of my head I don't know the name of any mountains in Europe other than the Matterhorn. There are probably others that I'd slap myself in the head for not thinking of them.

The Alps are best viewed from lower elevations where it's green.

I confess to not knowing the mountain's name. That Winter Olympics was in Chamonix, France but I don't know the closest mountain. Well played, Tom!
