Which singer's concert would you most like to go to?

I have a few/many singers in mind but I can't decide 🤔😂

Oh, the list is endless, but just a week ago I booked tickets for Journey on their 50th Anniversary tour. I've been to nearly 400 concerts over the years, and many of the acts I grew up with have retired or passed away, so I'm determined to see as many of them as I can while I still can.

I last saw Journey for the Raised on Radio tour more than 35 years ago, and I haven't seen Toto since the 80s. They were also one of my first concerts, though I wasn't an attendee but a worker. Our neighbor growing up was head of security for Bill Graham Presents - a huge promoter in the Bay Area who was very close with Journey - and because I was always trying to earn money, got me a job cleaning up the backstage area as a kid. I sat on a box on the wing of the stage for Day On The Green 1982, with Journey as the headliner - in between delivering water and towels, and picking up cups and dirty towels. There were no plastic water bottles then - just paper or Styrofoam cups and bags of ice.

Toto was one of the openers, and their big album with Africa and Roseanna was out, but Journey's Escape was, I think, the #1 album of the year in 1982, so they were just massive, especially at home in the Bay Area. Also there were Santana and The Tubes - I didn't know Santana back then, but I was a big fan of "She's A Beauty" by The Tubes.

It's very strange to realize that was 40 years ago...

Indeed. Sadly, Jeff Porcaro is long dead - he was a fantastic drummer. David Paich is also great on the keys.

Nine Inch Nails, Lily Allen, Shinedown, Seether, possibly 5 Finger Death Punch, Puscifer had some good concerts. It all depends what you like. Dual Lipa, Eva Max, Evanescence, Kenny Chesney

@MrOracle Indeed he did. In a interview once, Elvis was asked what it was like to be the worlds greatest singer, Elvis simply replied, "I wouldn't you, you would have to ask Roy Orbison". Such respect between artist you don't see much of today.
