What do you girls think of male nurses?

What would be your thoughts if a man told you he was a nurse

As a hospital nurse I work with quite a few male nurses actually, a lot of times they'll refer to themselves as an RN, (if they are registered, nurses). I actually have a pretty good impression of them, I respect all that I know personally and professionally. I haven't actually dated any because most of the male nurses that I work with are married with children, or in a solid relationship. Throughout the years more men are going into nursing, I see many start out as EMTs and choose nursing instead of becoming a paramedic. Also others (just like female nurses) want to go on further into advanced practice like a nurse anesthetist or a nurse practioner.

That's completely fine. I'd be fine having a male doctor or a male nurse. Either way. And I wouldn't lose respect for someone I already know upon finding out that they are a nurse. That's a tough career. Gender isn't really relevant.

The only time I think it would come up would be for OB/GYN related things. But I do that separately from my main doctor anyway. (Mostly because I get stressed out about medical things, and I find that it's much easier if I can minimize what needs to get done in a single appointment, and instead split them up into smaller appointments. Basically, if I can see a specialist for something, instead of just my regular doctor, I will). Anyway, I would prefer those doctors and nurses to be women. Mostly because I don't like the idea of letting a stranger touch a part of my body that they do not also have. I imagine men would prefer that the doctors and nurses dealing with their genitals would be men. I'm not sure, but I imagine that would be the case.

I know of a lot of them at work. Still sounds weird for a dude... ya know to call him a nurse. I’d rather call him a medical assistant or some shit

I’ve dated two. I just didn't call em a nurse. I call em a doctor even if they’re still med school students. doesn't make a difference to me

I think they are higher value than doctors. They do all the grunt work, socially interact longer and catch all of the doctors mistakes. Go nurses!
