What is your opinion on male nurses?

So, personally, I think there needs to be a lot more male nurses. For a few reasons (which I can get into if you want). There were 5 guys in my class and they were all fantastic students. I worked with one of them in my current unit and he was one of the best nurses I've seen.

Can I ask what social stigma you're talking about specifically?

Some males see it as feminine , but I don’t care about their opinion. Just curious what females thought

Oh screw that. Bring those idiots in to watch a code and see if they still think it's "feminine" after watching people maintain quality compressions for a few rounds.

I'm sweating like a large zoo animal after a code like that. That's not "feminine"...

I have no problem with male nurses, I've had male nurses that are really kind and lovely persons. I have a problem with weird men, but, thankfully is usually easy to notice when a man is weird. By just reading this post I assume you're a good man, don't worry.

There is no stigma, they usually do very well for themselves.

Part of the new world, i don't care. May be a bit surprising but it's still a new thing so it can be easily banned forever if male nurses fk up too many times
