They are great! They give it all they got!

I have no issues with most nurses. Most seem decent.
There was one, however, that I got after I had surgery on my wrist (it was broken). The stitches were ready to be pulled out. The wound is closed up pretty much at this point but still not entirely perfect. This one nurse came to get em.
Problem was that her nails were so long, chances are that gloves wouldn't fit her. I thought "well, that's kinda weird considering it's near a wound or whatever, but alright. At least she is pulling em out with tweezers." She was having trouble with the tweezers though, so she got frustrated, let out a heavy sigh, and used her quite long fingernails to pull out my stitches. She picked at them, pulled, and eventually used her dirty pinky nail like a fish hook on my healing wound to pluck out them. It hurt quite a bit I recall.
Now, it may not seem like a big deal, but it seemed unhygienic to be using her fingernails from wherever on my freshly healed (possibly not completely healed) wound. She was also a bit rude I recall, so my memory just overall was unpleasant.
Wow, you do reserve the right to request another person to assist you or all out refuse.
In the hospital, the doctor sees you for 2 or 3 minutes, then moves on and you don't see him again till the next day. The nurses see you many times each shift, and are with you for longer lengths of time. The doctor, after seeing you for a couple of minutes, writes a change order for your meds. The nurse comes alon and reads the notes, and often has to call the doctor because she found that his recommended medicine is one that will conflict with another medicine you are on, or that you are allergic to it. So while he made hundreds of dollars in that 2 minute visit, the nurse may have just saved your life, and gets paid nowhere near that.
So you can imagine my thoughts on the people that are despising nurses!
That looks like a porno.
To answer your question, I have a huge amount of respect for nurses. When I was 12 and I shattered all the bones in my left foot, the nurses took care of me. The X-ray took a while to read though. I don't know why but the nurses made me feel more comfortable. I actually want to be a nurse one day. At the end of this semester, I will apply for the certified nurses assistant. Certification only takes 8 weeks but I will see how I like it.
Fair warning... the CNA gets a lot of the shit jobs. Like handling and cleaning bedpans. It is a tough and often thankless job. It might color your impression of nursing in a bad way. My wife was an RN and once said that she would not do the CNA job even if it paid RN wages. She had a very high respect for the CNAs. If you can do the RN course, life will be much easier for you when you get your license.
@Red_Arrow it's not ideal but it is a job and I get to work in a hospital. It also a lot better than working at a fast food place that paid terribly and my boss was constantly stringing me along. I also get my own stethoscope. I think I saw that the scrubs are white. Of all colors why white?
I was thinking the same thing you said first. I don't like it when nurses are portrayed as scantily clad or in porno. I know some do but thats kind of disrespecting a hard working job. Though the same could be said about the plumbers and pizza delivery people too. But nurses more so
@smahala1991 Firefighters are portrayed all the time like that and we don't complain. I get where you are coming from but with nurses, they embrace the stereotype because they find it funny. This sorta work requires a sense of humor and lightness. If you don't have it while being a nurse, hoser, doughnut eater or paramidget death and harsh reality will eat away at you.
@OrdinaryGentleman Do you remember the drano commercials where the plumbers wouldshow up at the house and the porno music was in the backgroun?
@smahala1991 I've never had TV, but i suppose i could imagine it.
Ahahaha that image tho.
Well, I feel like they're the closest thing to real life angels, I have a lot of respect for them --even if I have encountered a few mean nurses in my time (probably at the end of a really long shift or something).
Being a nurse would also make a good roleplay I imagine :P
What about us firefighters D:<
And for the sexy time there is no need to buy outfits.
They're great they work harder then most people in the hospital and are severely underpaid, which is why my nursing career was relatively short.

I've never seen any one grieve like that, pretty sure there's a man behind her and he ain't helping her "grieve" lol.
Lol I like those attractive WW2 nurses.
But being serious for a second I love a lot of respect for them my aunt is a nurse and it' a hell of a tough job.
I think its a job that needs to be respected more. Thats why personally I don't like nurse themed porn or scantily clad uniforms like in costume stores. Its a horrible stereotype to a profession that is underappreciated
@OrdinaryGentleman
Here are those commercials

When I was in the burn unit ICU they took very good care of me. I have nothing but praise. I couldn't do their job
I don't care too much, only about having the doctor help me.
I think the nurses that brought me ice packs after childbirth were angels. Sorry for the tmi lol
they're great!!! as long as they don't bring out the needles
They most unappreciated job one could hold. They do most of the work.
I am a CNA. I love nurses. Lots of respect for all of the stuff they deal with each day.
They really try to get it all in.
Yeah sometimes they try DP
Lmao that's @Sofeckinaddicted right there
