Is there such a thing as being passive aggressive about liking some one? That is not possible right?

I had a friend of someone I like tell me that I was Passive aggressive when it came to liking that the friend of the friend. At the time I did not know what the term Passive Aggressive meant. After looking it up that term does not apply to me I don't feel.

Also how can one be passive aggressive toward someone they liked? Long story short myself and this person are still close friends to this day. We never dated or had a relationship other than a platonic relationship.

But yes back in the day I did really like this person and this person seemed to like me but nothing came of it. But it always troubled me that the friend of my close friend said I was passive aggressive when it came to liking that person. Odd But any insight from the community would be awesome.

I think "passive aggressive" is used many times when it does not apply, I do not know why, in this case I think your friend really meant you were just too passive.

I do not think it applies in this case, but I have also heard this term used when someone was being openly aggressive, like calling someone names or threatening them, which is ridiculous.

Maybe people think it is easier to say "passive aggressive' than to say "you are a wimp" or "you are a bully".

yes its possible. its often a part if being in the friendzone. its pretty much one form of unrequietted "love". its when you dont let it be known but you sabbotage that person's romantic relationships out of subconcious jealousy that they dont pick "you". oddly even when they are single you try helping them get into another relationship that you then sabotage hoping they come to you for comfort yet again but yet you still do not just try being the one in a relationship with them.

Yes it is possible as you refuse to meet the standards to close the deal out of stubbornness, high-kindness, or procrastination.

Wait a tick.. so you are writing that being kind to someone and not closing the deal was passive aggressive? I felt that those were just the cornerstones of a good friendship. Sure I knew I liked the person but I was never sure the person liked me back in equal measure.

You know what I mean? I was not going to risk our friendship by telling this person how I liked them. We hung out and had a ball in each other's company as friends do... But your take is an interesting one.

Maybe that is what the friend of my friend was alluding too... Oh well that was the past and as I said we remain friends to this day.

That is what I thought buy guy13 said it text book Passive aggressive... kinda blows my mind. People often like people and never let them know. you learn something new every day... it seems kinda harsh to label that as PA though.
