+1 yHalf slob, half ocd. I love to organize so like i keep books, dvds, cds, skateboards, snowglobes, videogames and old game consoles etc all nice and clean on one side of the room. For example one side of the room like this

However, I certainly live like “an artist/art buyer”. So canvas’ stacked against the wall in one corner of the room. Bed never made up. Water bottles lined along the floor of the wall like a set of Christmas lights from when im working (and I dont dispose of em until each weeknd) then a little pile of bras and undies next to the bed (until I do laundry at the end of the week lol). For example other side of the room like this

At least the room still smells nice like fabric softener 🥴 No company is allowed in my room until after M-F 🤣

I used to be a total slob.
Now I make myself clean my house when I have the time. Sometimes spending the whole day on campus just drains you so much that you literally can't get anything done at home. But I try not to be a slob. In fact, I just mopped my entire apartment like 3 or 4 days ago (technically owned by my mom, I am like a surrogate landlord) with the exception of my room, because I have not let my roomba run through it yet. And I am currently out of town.
I guess you could say I am not the cleanest person out there, but I would like to think cleaning the place once a week when I am around is satisfactory enough.
And I would have issues living with a slob, because for some reason my standards tend to rise when cohabitating with anyone in general. This means dishes get washed immediately, and a cleaning schedule.00 Reply
+1 yI’m not a total slob. I’m kind of half lazy and half organized. Like I have a dirty laundry bin but sometimes it has clean cloths in it that I just haven’t folded and pout away. But then I keep my dirty laundry in a neat little pile so that I do t get them confused. Then some times I fold the laundry but need to fix something so then I can’t pout them away so then I have clean cloths on the floor and dirty cloths in tue bin. I did get bad during Christmas though when I had clean cloths on the floor and in the bin that I just couldn’t focus enough to take care of all of it and I ended up with my clean pile in one corner and a dirty pile in another corner and my bin full of clean cloths. I was not impressed with myself.
I can easily live with a mess. As long as it gets cleaned at some point. But I need to know where in the mess my stuff is.

+1 yIt really depends what ‘slob’ truly means and to what extent. I am a bit of a clean freak, but sometimes I understand not wanting to wash the dishes one or two nights or not being bothered to sweep or make the bed etc. I understand because while I’m a clean freak, sometimes I can be extremely lazy, tired and drained. So I think I have a bit of a wiggle room when it comes to messes, but at a certain point I’m sure I’d become uncomfortable or irritated. I guess I could live with someone who’s the same as me- like 80% clean 20% slob
10 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Other topic. the fact you ask this makes me wonder if you preffer living as one which prompts you to ask. an alternative perspective tells me you could be asking because of two people you know where one us a slob and the other has decided to move in with said slob. am sure there are other possibilities too.
11 ReplyI am very very far from being a slob and I would struggle living with one. That is close to being a deal breaker. Not me judging them, just something I couldn't live with.

+1 yI am not a slob and I live with more than one. I can yell at my kids for being slobs, but I don't tell my husband what to do. It's difficult to put up with someone else's mess, but there are worse things in life. If we ever split however and I met someone new, being a slob would be a deal breaker for me.
10 Reply 748 opinions shared on Other topic. Yes and no lol. I contain my mess to my room, and clean it at least once a week. The rest of the house is kept clean and kept on a strict cleaning schedule and rotation. My roommate is the same; she contains her mess as well.
I probably wouldn’t do well with someone who’s a clean freak or full on slob. In the middle is fine10 Reply
+1 yI’m a bit of a slob and I didn’t enjoy it much. I don’t really know how to clean up after myself without feeling exhausted but I’m working on getting better at it. If I lived with someone like that who didn’t care and I was stuck with all the cleaning, I’d absolutely hate them for it.

+1 yMy sleeping area might be messy but NOT dirty, and I'm pretty picky about the state of the kitchhen and bathrooms... so if someone leaves the odd bit of clothing lying around , no biggie. But leave a mess in the kitchen that makes it challenging to prepare food? We gonna need to talk.

+1 yI'm not and I couldn't live with one. It would drive my crazy and not trying to mother anyone.
31 Reply3.7K opinions shared on Other topic. No I hate dirty people lol it grinds my gears I hate when people don't take their garbage out make messes on the stove and just walk off, don't clean their bathrooms, don't sweep or anything.
I understand being tired one or a few days of not cleaning cool but being habitual sloppy is a no go lol I'm like Danny Tanner I'm not OCD but I need my spot clean lol

+1 yI am a mess. No two ways around it, and I seem to have gotten worse with age. He deals with it, and I can usually tell when he is at the end of his wick, and try to do my best to help with the cleanup/organizing.

Coming home to a sink full of dishes and full trash cans and toilets that haven't been cleaned is never going to happen.
30 Replyno. it drives me nuts , i had to share a room growing up and always was the one cleaning , it would piss me off and if i have the choice i'm not EVER doing that again
10 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Other topic. No I'm tidy, and I could never feel at peace living with one. I'd clean up after them if I had to. But I'd resent them if they made no effort themselves.
