I feel like going through any type of mental therapy won’t help. I won’t be able to think of those things clearly. It would be like talking to a deaf person. I wouldn’t know how to classify my mental problems through talk therapy. I feel like I need something deeper. It’s just like I have to put myself through a lie detector test so I could control myself from lying if you know what I mean.

Since you believe that therapy won't help you, you need to forgive yourself. You need to think that you did what you had to do at the moment or what you thought it was right. I understand that you have regrets but time doesn't go back, so you really need to move forward.
Talk to someone you trust if therapy isn't an option for you.
I do feel like I need therapy still but I need to know where to start. I’d have to go through a lot of work through therapy. I feel like I need professional help.
I feel like some doctor needs to look at my brain to find out my mental problems. Scary thing, it seems like there are risks and it could make my problems worse.

First you need to look for therapists and see if he/she is really helping you. If not, you can always look for another one. Just don't get stuck and look for help as soon as possible.
