These things tell short stories based on a history from a parallel world. They are found scattered all over the world. The first one was erected in in Athens, Georgia (US) on July 31, 2003.
Have you ever seen one?

I never have, but I like the stories. Very interesting. I wonder how many markers like this there are in the world, and why they are placed where they are.
I like the usage of language -- some of it is like Conan the Barbarian's world or something.
The Virginia Historical Society erected this one for me outside of the trailer park where my mother conceived me with one of her clients.

I saw one in Ithaca New York. It told the story about one of the Vanderbilts that died on the Titanic. This was before the movie.
I cannot believe the stuff this site makes me remember.
I've never heard of these, and I don't think I've ever seen one. Thanks for sharing this. I'll be on the lookout for future markers.
That's cool! Have definitely not seen one of those.
