Green, and that reflects a couple of changes. As a young child, it was blue. I remember that, but i’m not convinced it was my own choice. Then it was a toss up between red and black. Likely more a personal choice, but also possibly influenced by skool colors. Now, it’s green. No outside influences, just personal preference.

  There is a kid in my taekwobdo class that wanted a pink belt instead of a purple one. The instructor ordered him a purple one to match his level in class. I was tempted to get him the pink one myself. 😁

  @sirderpsalot123 Actually, tech it’s not a rule. Belt color to rank is a marketing scheme to get kids to join.
  Originally a person started as a tot with a white belt and it just became dirtier and dirtier until so stained it showed how long you had been learning. Taekwondo was a lifetime commitment.
  
  My instructor himself told us this. And I pulled it out in defense to get the kid a pink belt. I just received a twitch of the corner of the instructors mouth. Which in and of itself was an impressive feat in a serious discussion.
