I have a great Pyrenees puppy and if it's a choice between sleeping anywhere in the house... his kennel... etc. he will sleep at my feet. Is this normal?
Entirely depends on the dog. My dog tends to take up the whole bed so he doesn’t get invited to sleep with me often. He does occasionally sneak onto the bed though. And curls into a ball at the foot of wherever I am next to me. Or he’ll curl up closer to the head on the bed. But they are pack animals and prefer to be close to their pack, so his bed is in my closet. If he doesn’t sleep up on the bed he’ll sleep on my floor next to my bed. And when he gets kennelled during the day it’s in the spare room which he doesn’t like

Aww that's so cute.
I haven't really had that. Animals like to be in the vicinity, but I don't remember them sleeping at my feet, specifically.
I love Great Pyrenees!
These aren't exactly, but here's some nice doggy pictures for you...
Dogs are pack animals. They like to puppy pile with each other and stay close. Your dogs are a member of your pack. Dogs often lay head to tail so they can guard each others backs. They set up a perimeter defense for security... Humans also do this...

Depends on the breed (or mix of breeds if a mutt) of dog. There are some who are more aloof than others. Then some who are more moderately happy to rotate sleeping spots. Then there are breeds that are very close to their owners. The breeds tend to stay true to that nature, minus one or two oddballs. (Been training dogs a long time)
Yeah they do. Cats too.
