I have not lived in an apartment since I was 9 years old and as a teenager I loved the house a lot more - it was big enough for us to have a pet dog - it was big enough for us to have house plants - it was big enough for us to have a ping pong table and a piano - it was big enough for us to house friends over in our home - I had room for board games and toys and puzzles and models I built in school could be stored. I had room for certificates and awards. And I had a large bookshelf for all my books. I had room for Nintendo games and I had private places to socialize away from prying eyes when people were over. My grandma also had room to sleep in our home.

House.

In a house, you don’t have to worry about hearing your 59 year old upstairs neighbor bang his 26 year old “gf” 24/7.

In a house, you don’t need someone else’s permission to paint the walls, fix the toilet or exterminate pests.

A house hands down, a lot more bigger, more comfortable more cozier you have yard space it’s worth a lot of money when you sell it. Apartments you have nothing. You just walk away eventually losing all that money. Nothing to show for all the years of paying lost rent

Depends upon your lifestyle. I have a house, and I am responsible for all repairs and landscaping, but I also have the freedom to have 60 guitars on my walls.

I personally prefer house. Granted I live in a basement suite but I’d still choose this over apartment. Apartments have insane restrictions regarding pets (which some landlords of houses do too) or not pet friendly at all. They often have shared/coin op laundry. And they have irresponsible neighbors

I personally prefer living in an apartment.

Security, less points of entry, if something is broken just call maintenance, gym access (so convenient) , & you can easily move around.
