Is preying on people that are going through a crisis or love deception so low?

It can be someone undergoing death in the family, a woman that's devastated after the man she spent many years with never proposed and she remains childless, a man that just underwent a divorce, someone that lost his business, etc.

Those people are in their low point now and have little hope. Then someone preys on them, making them gain their last hope of humanity (just to be lied to and used again), forever trashing whatever little remaining self-confident they had.

Is exploiting people in those positions so low?

There are people like that in the world, they go after people with sad stories, with love deceptions, with bad luck in life and prey on them. I think that's so low.
