How much do you LOVE your DOG?

This is for DOG OWNERS...

It's the middle of the night. Your dog wakes you up and let's you know that they have to go to the bathroom. What do you do?

I get up and take them out... for a pee and poop

I go back to sleep... they can hold it until morning

I wake up my SO and ask them to take the dog out

My dog did that a few times when she was younger, come up from the living room, open the door, then wake me up or walk back and fowrth till I woke up
If I did not wake up or been around she go do it in the bathroom
Since got used taking her out before going to bed so she good over night
She how ever got old and now if she needs to go its in her sleep that is not idle, so have morning that need cleaning and washing her dlwn before goinb to work, but i dk love her regardless

Believe it or not, that happened a lot with my dog. He'd be whining about 3:00am, maybe he'd have a little too much water which I always kept out. He also got many stomach upsets, so in the middle of the night when the neighborhood was asleep--I'd just take him out to the backyard. I think it'd be cruel to let him wait till morning, no?

My family had a few dogs when I was a kid. I enjoyed the dogs but I have never owned one as an adult. I have had many, many cats and they don't wake me in the middle of the night. The use the litter pan by themselves and then go back to sleep.

I love my animals like they are my own kids. They are the world to me. I hate losing my animals when they die

I get up and take him out.


He’s 8 and getting up there in age. There’s been a few times he’s incontinent. Where he quite literally couldn’t hold it or stop it. That happened at 1am. I cleaned it up, took him outside just in case he needed to empty more, started a load of laundry and remade his bed and tucked him in. (He gets blankets and has a bed cover)

I will do anything & everything necessary for them no matter how much it can be an inconvenience to me.

Our dogs (and all the rest of our pets) are our children.

I let them out before I go to bed so that they don't have that problem in the first place. Be proactive...

Dogs are great but mine passed two years ago and I’m thinking about doing it again 🤷🏻‍♂️. Lot of time and responsibility though.
