i brought another pitbull to breed with a male puppy i got in the future she is a year old but turns out she is pregnant news to everyone now she is aggressive toward the male puppy and scared him how do i introduce and make her like him she will watch him through the window fine and sniff him for a bit but after about a minute she will get angry and growl or if he gets close to the window she will growl if you correct her she stops but i don’t feel safe putting him near her he is only 12 weeks and she would easily kill him his name is bear and her name is rosie how do i properly introduce them cause i don’t wanna have to put her outside away from him cause now my family thinks she is aggressive other than me and my father who both know it is cause she is pregnant and he is a male how should we handle this

Why are you planning to breed her again? Do you have homes lined up for the puppies she’s currently carrying? Is she far enough along that X-rays can be performed to know how many she’s expecting? Pregnant dogs and dogs that have whelped keep all animals away from their young. Males actively avoid the female after the pups are born.


Is that female breeding quality? How old is she? And what genetic testing, OFAs and Pennhips have been done on her? The male is 12 weeks and way too young to breed, OFAs can’t be done until he’s 2.

Reread you said she’s 1. She’s still too young to have a litter and this may affect her OFAs. Crate and rotate may be your best option and set up a safe whelping area

i have raised dozens and they are the best and most friendly dogs i have ever had educate yourself about the dog before thinking you know the breed i just asked how to handle the situation cause i have never had a pregnant female and a puppy of another bloodline at the same time i have been protected by pitbulls far more than other dogs i have been attacked by a german shepherd and small dogs far more than a pitbull a dog ain’t born aggressive it is how you raise them if someone hits a dog in the head or is about to pull their tail off no shit it gonna attack you would too if you get smacked in the head with a hammer
