The window doesn’t open from
That one side. I really like how the sofa looks on this side but got bored and want put it against the wall. But it’ll cover the window little bit. I don’t have any other window for sunlight. I have my tv on the wall so my sofa will face the tv if I put the sofa against the wall.
I had mold issue under the sofa before wen I had the sofa against the wall & window so I worry again I’ll get mold. But I got new floor as the floor was damaged due to water leak the owner had in her house. So maybe that fixed the mold issue. I see many homes with sofas against the wall & they don’t get mold infested.

Mine is against the wall, on the other side of my window/balcony and the door is right next to my sofa and on the other wall, between door and window is my ty basically.
Never had mould issues, never heard of that before and so I would say place it where you feel the most comfortable
I never had mold issue either in last place I lived at. This studio has no windows & I plan mvoe augsut hopefully to bigger apartment with kitchen and windows
I can’t put my tv on the other side as that’s where I connect my tv. I like it on this side it looks good but got bored and want move the sofa again against the wall where the window is
If it works where it's right now, then leave it and maybe change up the indoor decorations a little?
I put it against the wall window and I like it but it does cover the window a bit. But I’ll leave it there
I really wish I had another window it’s very closed up no ventilation. But I’ll move out soon to a new place
Did u like how the sofa looks tho with the pics I posted? It looks good on that wall. But now my sofa will finally face the tv. Will I get mold if the window sunlight is blocked little bit? I can open the other side for fresh air
It looked better against the wall how it was but I moved it and like how it faces the tv lol 🤔🤔 it’s hard choice
If you place the sofa against the window, the sun will speed up the deterioration of the fabric, fading it and leading to tears. It will also reduce the light in the room. Mold should no longer be an issue after the landlord fixed the water leak, unless you are in a very humid climate (in which case, use a dehumidifier). Just pull it away from the wall occasionally to see if moisture is being trapped there.
I have no windows so I worry there’s still humidity here. I only get sunlight in that spot as the other side of the window has a screen door that blocks the sun. I feel since I hav it away from that wall then that space is open to breathe. But I really want move it again to try other side to face the tv
What do u think?
It’s okay if the fabric fades I plan move August and buy new sofa
It’s been cold raining here but get no air no ventilation it’s all closed up I just open the curtain little bit that’s it
The heat pump on your wall should work as a dehumidifier, though you can get additional help if you need it. I'd get a hygrometer to monitor your humidity. Here's a simple inexpensive one: www.amazon.com/.../ If you keep your humidity between 50% & 75%, mold shouldn't be forming (unless there is sitting water or wet walls or floors). You can buy an electric dehumidifier, but, since you won't need it for more than a few months, I'd stick with a disposable product like this, if you need a little extra help: www.amazon.com/.../B00CBLW3EW
You can open your glass sliding door for ventilation, but if it is raining outside, it may just draw in more humidity. Since it's gloomy outside, I'd want as much window as possible, so I'd keep the sofa where it's at.
I already moved the sofa where the window is at it blocks the window little bit. I like the sofa by the window for now as my sofa faces the tv and looks bigger.
It's your home. Do what makes you comfortable.
If you put against window facjng TV, wouldn't glare become issue
