What are the most common regrets that people have once they grow old?

I regret not getting in on some investments early on in life. I didn't have a lot of disposable income at the time, but even a little bit would have netted a decent return.

The only other thing was opening a restaurant. I had the chance to obtain a shoreline parcel on Georgian Bay in cottage country and did not take it. I was thinking a Fish and Chip/BBQ/Ice Cream place with decks overhanging the water and dock slips so people could drive up in boats. Maybe have some overnight slips too.

Number one regret of people facing their deaths is not having had the fortitude of will to have lived the lives they wanted; rather having tried to live how others wanted them to live.

Number two regret of people facing the end times, is that they didn't maintain close relations with friends and family. They didn't put proper importance on maintaining their social relations and rather focused on things like careers.

It could have anything, even for old people who have been single.
