It entirely depends on where you are.
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. Snow here is quite rare - once every 10 or 15 years we'll get a half-inch to an inch of snow, and it usually doesn't even last on the ground more than a couple of hours.
But I can drive 3 hours and be in the Sierra Nevada mountains, with a half-dozen or more ski resorts, and this year they've received between 29-52 FEET of snow in the area. There are houses with 3-story-tall roofs that you can't even see any part of the house, and that people can't use as a vacation home because it would take hours to shovel a path to the front door (and there's no where for the snow to go).

This is definitely more snow than usual - but very welcome after years of drought and low snow-pack - but 30 feet of snow here is fairly routine.
Depends where you are. In areas that are used to getting snow, 4 inches is a momentary inconvenience. In areas where snow is rare, the whole area may shutdown for days... until it melts.
I grew up in Northeast US... 4 inches was nothing... fun to drive in, and play in.
I now live in Southeast US... 4 inches closes everything and strands vehicles on the freeways.
I voted for "ain't nuttin" because that's where I spent most of my life.
4” in Canada is nothing.

here me trying to shovel a pathway from my sisters apartment to the road so we can take out suitcase out the morning before our flight.
I think it depends where you’re from. To some, 4 inches might be a lot. To others, it’s a regular day.
4 inches of snow is considered below the average amount of snow. It's typically considered small. However it really depends on what the snow can do.
It's packin snow
If that snow can really move and falls just right and at the right angles then it might can cause a trembling avalanche.

It depends on where a person is from and the average snowfall there. Where I live, 4" of snow would bring traffic (and life in general) to a temporary halt. But if Denver Airport gets 14", that's no big deal to them.
Nope, I won't even run the snowblower for less than 6 inches. Talk to me when you have a foot.
Even 1 cm snow is a lot here, because it isn't supposed to snow around my warm area! It depends on the place you live.
Depends where you live. I would say that's about avg. For a storm system here in Iowa. But low for the northern part of the state and Minnesota. And it's a lot less for a place like Buffalo where they get "lake effect" snow.
Four inches is adequate and can get the job done. You won’t find anyone who will complain about it out loud. You may hear about how it’s not enough from other people and they’ll tell their friends behind your back.
Depends where you live. In Wisconsin, no biggie. In Texas, big huge deal.
This question took a turn that I wasn't expecting..
That would definitely be a lot of snow for Florida.
We're expecting 15-25" of snow in the next two days...
Four inches of snow is "reasonably" light.
I couldn't handle 4 inches of snow
If it falls overnight, it is decent. However, there have been a few snowfalls this winter where it was 7 to 10 inches in one day.
UK here. Haven't seen that much snow in years. Maybe in Scotland they have. Yes I know Scotland is in the UK.
Depends where you are from. That is child's play to me. Used to 8-24 inches
I live in Canada lol, 4” is nothing. We got almost 3’ at one point.
I'm from Ontario and this particular wasn't necessarily about snow (it's an illusion and an innuendo)
