Are people from Minnesota country?

I will be visiting some family this summer in the country part of Minnesota and was curious what the people are like outside of the bigger cities, and If cowboy boots are common to wear in Minnesota as much as you would see them in places like Nebraska and South Dakota.

Cowboy boots? Maybe... Minnesota is not generally thought of as ranching country, but what do I know.
However, the people I've met from Minnesota are wonderful. Like Canadians, just "south of the border".

I'd recommend seeing the comedy "New In Town" with Renée Zellweger and Frances McDormand.
It got panned by critics, but it was fun.

According to movies, i still think that people in rural areas such in country places still wear traditional outfits like texan cowboys with that authentic accent 🤠 maybe playing banjo too

Watched movies that are made in the 60's 70's 80's 90's till the present day and they all have some sort of reality and reflects how's life in the country where these movies are made!

Most people in the rural areas of the US are not gunslingers, they don't ride horses, and they don't work on ranches!

@OlderAndWiser i know but that doesn't means that there are no people who works in ranches and ride horses, especially if you go back in time between the 1800's and 1900's

I know a married couple from Minnesota, and they aren't country, but they are definitely different.

I live in rural Minnesota, and yes, their are lots of rednecks, but overall, the people are very friendly.
