If you use a key card to open and you close the door can someone still open the door without the key card? There isn't a lock on the inside
I will ask reception but what do you think?

You should hear like a buzzy noise and metallic clink after you enter the room. That is the electronic lock mechanism that can only be opened with your key or the manager's key in an emergency.
Some hotels still have the latch type lock system in addition to the electronic key lock system, but anyone can get through those once the door is partially open with an elastic.
Every modern hotel I've been in (and that is a lot) the door has automatically locked. There is also usualy an extra chain or latch. Of course the lock might be broken.
In older hotels, its anyone's guess.
I don't remember being in a hotel that didn't have an inside lock.
Not always Some doors will not close properly on their own so I always double check mine has closed and locked. Then use the 2ndary lock and deadbolt. You can never be too careful.
Where we stay sometimes, you need a card to open the door from outside. There is a lock inside to stop any further card access from outside.

Only an employee with a... call it ''override card'' ... can open your door.
(Cleaning/house keeping/security/management/receptionist)
Your own card is coded in such a way that it expires with your booking end.
The other way to bypass it would be a chain saw or an axe. And perhaps CIA has a few aces up the sleeve as well.
Normally no, they need the card to open it, I think you have one and then management and hotel has one for it as well or maybe they got a few that open everything, it should lock, if it doesn't the you should get that fixed
The staff can but most people can’t, unless they know how to open those type of locks. I always lock the inside lock and the other lock that’s available but I’ve never seen a hotel door without an inside lock.
If you need a key card to get in the next person needs to do the same thing. The door locks when it closes.
Depends on what type of hotel it is. And yes, hotel staff can open the door to clean or always keep your important things in your bag and lock it
They lock if fully shut and require a card to get in.
The door auto locks, hence why you need a keycard to open it
They lock if fully shut
Yes😁
But the reception can still open them.
Generally except in very old hotels.
The Key card needs to be used to open the door.
Yes you always need the key to open it
if they know how
