Do you lock your doors?

I've just come to America for a trip and the woman I am staying with don't, and she's says no one in this place does (Meaning of course local not whole of USA.) and no she also don't own a gun.

When I lived in my hometown in Canada I never locked my doors when I lived on my own because I didn't care.. plus if someone wanted to come in and kill me go ahead, though it was highly unlikely lol Now there are lots of junkies in town and you have to lock your doors there.. thieves take everything even your plants..
As for where I live now it is somewhat dangerous.. we had stabbings and shootings in the area so yes my doors are locked :)

“Back in the day” we didn’t.. but now we definitely have to. & That’s living in Upstate Ny.
When I was living in Alaska my old roommate and I had a hard time remembering to lock our doors because we weren’t used to it. We improved though because we were scared of bears, lol.

I live in Rural North of England, I rarely lock my front door during the day when I'm in, so anything being delivered can be left inside the door, I did pretty much the same when I lived in the US, It comes down to where you live and you trusting those around you.

Yes. There are thugs that circulate in my neighborhood once in awhile.

They drive around on the suburban streets looking for open garage doors where they can snatch and run tings like blowers, trimmers, chain saws, etc. Or looking for inventory for a future break in.

Yes, they're always locked and checked again before going to bed. 🙂 When I'm driving, those doors are always locked too - lots of car jackings as of late.

Yes. I am renting a room and everytime I leave it, i don't need anyone trying to steal my panties or taking my practice gun because "No gUns In mY HouSE!!"

Yes, a lock on the door knob and a deadbolt. When I come in and close it behind me, I lock it.
