I locked myself out of my barracks room in the military once while my roommate was on leave. Lucky for me the lock was electronic and I knew where my building's breaker box was. I cut power off to the building, opened my room to get my key then quickly turned the power back on. This was at 2300 on a Tuesday so I assumed most people would be asleep since PT formation was usually at 0400.
At our base, if the power goes off our chains of commands got notified and an inspection would occur to ensure everyone was safe. My dumbass did not know this would happen so I had to apologize to my entire chain of command AND everyone in the building. Other than that I was warned not to pull a stunt like that again.
Had I thought things through, I would have stayed in another shipmate's room until morning and then let the barracks management get the door open.

Well this is something that doesn't just happen to blonds, bbb. My wife and I have both locked ourselves out before on separate occasions.
We live on some acreage in a rural area with a long driveway what winds up the hill to our house, so we aren't too concerned about security and don't keep all of our windows latched. The problem is, they are all 6' or so up from outside ground level.
Our steel garage is a few hundred feet behind our house and we don't keep the doors on it locked. So breaking into the house entails getting a ladder from the garage, removing a window screen, lifting the window, and climbing in. It's not particularly easy climbing through a window without tumbling into the house.
Anyway, as I said, over the past twenty years, both of us have had to do that a couple times.
Hahahaha…dang…lol 🤣🤣🤣
Nahhh, me locking myself out of my place was not the funniest. 😂
The funniest moment of me locking myself out of anywhere, was my car (after dance class). I thought I lost my keys, so people were helping my look in the dance studio…LOL
The whole time, it was in the car chilling. 😅
Someone drove me to get my spare (I lived like 30 min away from the studio). 😅😂
I'm moderately adept at breaking into places/things, and sometimes I do it instead of just doing things the normal way just because I can.
Despite that, I usually end up unable to actually use my skills for whatever reason when it happens for real. Gives me that nice cognitive dissonance.

My kids lock me out all the time. I use to just go through the window hut now I keep a extra key hidden outside
Dumb looking through the window at my keys in the center console, I locked myself out of my truck. Used my insurance key service. They show up just as I realized I never actually locked the door. HA!
I filled out their paper work so I didn't waste their time - Great couple and got there fast. They made some easy cash and speed off to next call.Nope. If I did I would have to break a window to get in. I am looking into getting a wifi deadbolt for the main door. One that has a regular knob inside and a keyhole outside, but also connects to your WiFi. Chances are you will still have your phone with you and you can open it using your WiFi.
not me, but my family would do this a lot... I would come from school and find locks on the locks on all doors, I had to break in a few times
till one day, finally... I just kicked the door open like I was in the SWAT team and it actually opened, well I broke it... so my parent pressed charges against my savings account, lmao
they never let me locked out since then though...I have security cam video of me climbing in through my doggie door… more than one time… and no I’m not gonna share it. 🤣
While I was in highschool I left my keys at home went to school. My mum locked the front door of course so came back thinking oh no. But then I remember the back door was unlocked anyway cause I had left it so from last night so I was fine.
Sometimes I did this so I wouldn't be locked out most of the time it worked. If it didn't I would just have to live the street life until my mum came home.Growing up I got locked out of the house many times & I just waited until someone came home & now that I live alone I installed combination locks on all my doors to prevent that from happening & I also installed a keypad to open my garage as well.
It was summertime and approaching nighttime and decided to go for a walk. I had all the windows open to cool down the house. When I got home I realized I forgot my keys in the house so I crawled through one of the windows.
Ever since then, I leave one of the windows unlocked. Several times I forgot my keys and I was so thankful I had that window unlocked to crawl through.Yes. Several years ago, we bought a house and inadvertently locked ourselves out a few days after moving in. With the help of a nice neighbor, I disassembled the rear sliding patio door so that we could get in. Never happened again.
Yes, all the time when I would forget my keys as a kid. That window has been fixed. But, I probably still could squeeze through it if I could be opened.
Yes. Needed to get something from the car which was parked outside, accidentally closed the door with the keys on the other side. The annoying thing was that my then partner was sleeping inside but didn't hear me trying to kick the door open.
Yes! Too many times!
I had to hop some serious fences, and thank God I'm friends with my neighbor's dogs. No, I haven't!! That's nonsense! Anyone who puts themselves through the trouble of doing that has probably never heard of keeping a spare key under the mat. This is something all home owners should do in case they accidentally lock themselves out!! It would make more sense if a person could not get a copy of their house keys or car keys for a very logical reason, but somebody who is able to but refuses is foolish.
Yes, I locked myself out of the car too. I was able to get into the house by using a credit card. I installed a dead bolt after that. I broke into the car with a coat hanger.
Yeah I have had to jump fences climb through windows all kind of crap. Never had to brake a window though.
Yes…once about three years ago. It was an online long distance relationship. I was so in love with her but I knew it was going to be extremely difficult if not impossible. I flew back and forth a few times to see her but that seemed to just get me more frustrated. We went on for almost two years until I determined I was wasting my time and ended the affair.
Yes. When younger, sometimes wind would slam the door locked. So climbed in the back, on top of a cheap roof , to get to a window, pop off screen and enter. Must of happened 2-3 times. But never again since.
Oh yeah. I had to climb up two balconies to get access again. :-o
My house no, my car yes. Has to throw a rock through the window to get my keys out 😞😞
I have been locked out of my home before but and I tried getting in through the back door but it didn't work because we keep a piece of wood under the doorknob to keep people like burglars out
