Reminds me of a sitcom 50 years ago. A socially very awkward character got a blind date and he asked for advice from his friends. They all told him to just compliment her several times during the night. When he picks her up to take her to the dance, he learns that she weighs about 250 pounds. Thy arrive at the dance hall. After being on the dance floor for a few minutes, he says to her, "For a fat girl, you sure don't sweat much!"

She meant it in a positive way, but it came out wrong.


Another phrasing could be “you’re not as hot as a stripper, but your personality is better than a stripper’s could ever be.”


It’s difficult to make it sound flattering, but it’s supposed to be.

Yes, my guy. Run the other way from that ho. She's basically saying you're not attractive but she'll settle for it because you have the perfect vibe and character for dating, and because hot guys are pretty much what she thinks are bad boys and unfaithful.

I guarantee you she will be just that girl who will later on cheat or dump you to go running to those very guys she's saying are no good. I've seen it before.
