I love mystery and suspense. I'm always looking for new mystery books to read. I read some sci-fi/fantasy also. When I started writing, I started out writing horror and mystery.

Mystery is such an interesting genre, I love not knowing what's going to happen next and wondering if that character is going to make it on the next page.

  I love it when you as the reader slowly learn about the mysteries of the world or characters. I prefer it in a fantasy or science fiction setting though.

  @msmissydc Yeah, it's definitely interesting when the genre's cross. Stephen king has an interesting writing style. Even though he's considered a horror writer, a lot of his books, you get further into them and the plots put you on the edge of your seat. I love when authors do that to me.

Mostly fantasy and science fiction or a combination of both. I am recently in the midst of a dune reread for excample.
On the other hand I do also read a lot of scientific books for work.
