I changed myself a lot for my parents' (especially mom) expectations and created a whole new person whom my parents loved a lot but that new personality stressed me out like hell. So now I'm just being myself.

When did I say they accepted me? They accept that writer part of me because that's like a job which shows a person is wise, they even accepted my hobby as piano because it's a prestigious hobby for a rich kid to have. But they never accepted the novelist and the pop star in me, for these jobs are cheap to them. I just show them what they want to see and rest all is just inside me where I'm developing it, I hope you get what I mean.

@PointTaken yes surely it is but the main problem of Asian parents is they want academic success from their children which is understandable because studies do act like a base to get a permanent income source but this becomes so extreme that they stop accepting our true passion which we really want to pursue in our life. Academics is no doubt important but why kill a child with perfection when he/she is more happy with not being perfect and has that courage to be themselves in a society which is hungry for perfection?

That has got to be tough. Just try to stick with what you love to do. Hopefully they'll see it and accept all of it.

@PointTaken I have a book published for this book writing contest but I kind of regret it. They messed up with the pages! And it's way too expensive than it should be considering the fact that it's not printed correctly though I edited it several times but they won't save the changes. I don't count that though, I don't think it is as important to special because every student from our school and other schools participating in that contest could publish their book in few clicks of keyboard. Penguin publications is my dream.

Penguin is a good publication company. I noticed most of what I read was through them. I have 2 stories I worked on some. I should get back to them. Keep up the awesomeness
