what's the point of the bottom of our ear lobe? (humans)

why also don't we have more curvy ears to attract more sound?

and how good is a lizard or a bird's hearing with their ears on the side of their head and nearly internal than external?

I'm convinced the lobe (the typical part that gets pierced is useless, and the top may be more purposeful).

I figure birds don't need hearing as much as they do seeing, and both lizards and birds constantly scan their surroundings, with both vision and sound on their sides, than in front or behind them.
