What is your favorite belongings?

My laptop. It's pretty much the only possession I have, besides a few clothes. Before my narcissistic aunt and her cousin sold all of my belongings, my favorite possession was this round stone lawn ornament that had a frog sitting in a birdbath with a little red robin, a bluebird, and a butterfly flying above them.

One of my best friends gave it to me before she died. She died in a car accident, and about 6 months before that, she gave me that ornament as a gift because she liked frogs, just like me. All the nice people either die or move away.

I have a few...

My Great Grandfather had a hand wound movie camera in the 1930s that I've inherited, I have a watch that was my grandpa's and several 19th century books that were my grandad's including a family bible.

My most precious item is the christening gown I wore and my son wore for our dedication services that the oldest son's first son has worn in my family since the mid 18th century. Dad's family were decidedly blue collar and the material for it must have been the equivalent of several weeks earnings if not months. My son is the ninth generation to wear it. Faith has played a massive role in the family for 300 years and I feel honoured to be the guardian of a piece of history I can pass on to the next generation as a tangible connection with our forefathers and what God has done for us.

I have many beloved possessions, but the things that I would grab if my house was on fire would be my dad's and my grandpa's accordions.

Both my dad and grandpa were masters on the accordion and the piano.

Dad passed away at 42 when I was 11 years old, and grandpa then passed also a few years later.

I loved them dearly.
