Owner of restaurant who I dance at put pictures up of the girl who previously danced there?

I work at a restaurant as a belly dancer. There was a belly dancer who danced there for 10 years. There was some conflict and she hasn’t danced there for around 2 years. I’ve been working there now for around a year ( I’m the only dancer there). The owner shared a picture of the previous dancer on Facebook as if reflecting on good times. I don’t have anything against the former dancer but I feel a little insulted as I’ve been dancing there for a year. Would you guys consider this insulting?

And how long was she there? Maybe she formed a bond with you boss, made an impact at the business, was there for several years, or basically just something prominent. In any case I think this is one of those situations where you’ve got to pick your battles, and this doesn’t have to be one. I’ve gotten to a place at work where I’m just cordial with everyone, bury myself in work and do my time so I can go home. I know it’s easy to create work friendships and whatnot at your job, but I’ve always thought it was better to keep the job and everything/everyone that comes with it at arms length. That way when things like this happen, you won’t care. So what if it’s a different belly dancer, as long as you get your money on time and get through your shift with no issues I think that’s the bigger win.

Was it their personal one or a business one? If personal, its really none of your business. If business, do they have photos of you? It would obviously make more sense to promote their existing talent rather than their previous.

Is it possible they didn't have anything with you to share that wasn't already public? I am sure they would be more than happy to promote a video, some photos or alike if you want to do so. Good publicity for all.

It’s public. He has paid for professional photos of me, and told me he’d put them up in his restaurant to replace pictures of the previous dancer that are on the walls, but that was weeks ago and he hasn’t

Well, weeks is also only weeks. You can always mention it. A little playful nudge is not bad. Although I don't blame him for keeping a few of them. While technically misleading the idea that there are multiple dancers - and you're just the lead among them - is generally good for business. He probably, from a business perspective, should promote you enough that the previous one at most seems like your backup.

Not one bit. You're doing a job. They're paying you for a job. As long as your performance is up to par and you're getting the agreed pay and whatever else you agreed on, then you are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overthinking this.

Do your job, cash the checks, forget about everything else.
