Should we destigmatize rape fetishizing?

Obviously rape is wrong. But there is a big difference between someone who has rape fetishistic thoughts and someone who acts on them. Obviously rapists should be punished, but rape kinks should be destigmatized so it's easier for them to seek the help they need before they hurt someone rather than after.

Rape kinks itself isn't a choice. Nobody chooses to have those thoughts. It's a psychiatric disorder which can be managed with psychotherapy and medication.

This is only one of many psychiatric disorders that are stigmatized to the point of people with them are too scared to come forward and do something about it.

lets get this straight. "rape fetishizing" as you have called it is CNC (consensual non consensual) sex i. e. the two people have agreed that this will happen and this is why its not rape. what you are suggesting is that people who want to go and rape people are now calling this a fetish and that we should be more lenient over it? NO. simple and easy.

so women may like the idea of relinquishing control and due to social norms they call it rape. but in fact it is the complete opposite. they have given permission and allowed the scene to happen and agreed to it. if any of these women were to be actually raped they would be horrified and off to the police straight away.

so lets just get this straight, fetish is CNC and is not rape not in the slightest and anyone that thinks about raping someone else is not a fetishist, they are dam right wrong and need help.

we may all look at ladies and think about having sex with them. but how many of us think about having sex without permission. very few i would imagine.

The only that keeps most of them from doing it is because they know it's wrong. Start making it right and they'll take advantage of it.

That’s called cnc, if you’re into it cool, just make sure your partner is and that you communicate that. As someone who was a victim of repetitive sexual assault I had an ex into cnc; he didn’t communicate that with me and it very much felt like rape for me because to me it was rape because I hadn’t consented

To me its simple. If everyone is informed and consenting, its OK. If not, its not OK. If people want kinky play, that's 100% fine.

I don't think there is any reason to think that rough sex play leads to sexual assault - if anything the revers seems likely since it will give people an outlet for their kink.

In the right communities, rape fantasy is acceptable and maturely looked at. There are many clubs and tight knit social circles in my area that support it. It's just a reality to accept that it's an intense concept for those who aren't into it or understanding of it.
