Why do so many people defend pitbulls despite being responsible for most dog attacks?

And im tired of the arguments. "Its the owner, not the dog" even though there's plenty good owners who raised the dog that still get mauled and even killed by these dogs. They're unpredictable compared to other dogs and once these dogs bite you, they're not letting go. They have lock jaw and sometimes the only way to get them off when a taser doesn't even work is shooting the dog to let go. And im tired of the argument "All dogs bite" fine all dogs bite. But the pitbull is more likely to bite and attack. You can train the dog to be good but ultimately the dog has an instinct to attack. Show me a compilation of golden retrievers or any other dog that attacks just as many people as a pitbull. I will never understand pitbull apologists

But it is the owner, not the breed. I met five pitbulls throughout my life, not one of them ever bit me because they had GOOD owners. Here is me chilling with my best friend's pitbull Pandora.

The ONLY reason pitbulls get a bad reputation is because they are the most used breed for ILLEGAL dog fighting than any other breed out there. They're trained to be nasty by PEOPLE, and unfortunately most of those dogs have to be put to sleep because they are beyond saving.

That's because it is the owners fault. You mistreat them or improperly train them, yeah, they can get violent. Same with any dog breed out there.

That's a neurological issue, not a special issue. Again, same with any dog breed out there. I've been bitten by more tiny dogs than anything else. Am implying they're inherently bad or dangerous? No.

The argument isn't that other dogs dont bite. The argument is that the pitbull is more likely to bite and cause a lot of damage

They're no more likely to bite than any other dog species with a protective instinct. They defend their space and their pack. Can they cause a lot of damage? Sure. But so can my Rottweilers. So can my best friends ovcharka. So can a Doberman. So can a golden retriever.

Pits, but here's the issue. Pitbull is a blanket term for various species of other but similar dogs. That's like me saying ankle biters are evil because they're small and are prone to bite. But do I mean dachshund, chihuahua, pomeranian, weiner dogs, Yorkie, chorkie etc.
So for them, do you refer to the American bulldog, the staffordshire bull terrier, the American Staffordshire terrier, a bull terrier, a chamuco, a stuffawler, a colby, a pynat, a cobra red nose terrier etc? You can't use a blanket term to condemn multiple animals as if it's a singular monolithic species.
