There are good drivers and bad drivers, both men and women. Statistics do show, though, that women tend to be involved in distracted driving more, mainly because women are more attached to their cell phones.
Insurance companies would suggest otherwise by their actions, because they generally give slightly better rates to women over men. Then again, that could just be because all of the insurance companies owners' wives nagged them to do that.
Men and women get road rage I seen people get out there cars and throw down swinging at each other ufc style lol... it don't matter what age they are old and young people I think I even seen a Brady bunch family jump out there family van one time even the baby getting out there car seat throwing there dampers at cars it's real life out there on the streets every body just needs to chill out 😂😂 ... All I know my driving record is flawless 👍🏽😂!
Women are involved in fewer car crashes than men. However, women are more likely to be involved in accidents at intersections, while parking, or while changing lanes. This suggests that women are worse drivers in terms of their skill, but they tend to have fewer instances of reckless behaviour and cause fewer serious injuries.
Overall, I prefer women's less risky but less skilled driving style over men's more skilled but reckless style.
a bad driver is a bad driver, regardless of demographics. Men will tend to error on the side of aggressive driving and taking the ROW that isn't theirs to take. Women will tend to error on the side of not taking the ROW when it IS theirs to take. (right-of-way)
Men are worse drivers and it's easy to prove why...
Car insurance rates for men are generally lower than for women. The insurance industry dictates this because of the statistical prevalence of accidents by males more so than females.
you've got to be kidding that men are better drivers. have you ever heard of the "young man's fee" at car insurance companies? if you're a young man under the age of 25, they charge them extra due to the fact that they are highly more likely to crash than anyone else.
Women are better drivers than men because they are safer. MY LIFE is my top priority. Not some guy who thinks the faster and more reckless , the better.
I feel women are worse drivers because they are always on a rush because they never plan leaving on time to be somewhere, that don't maintain their vehicle, and they always have the radio blaring or on there phone more than a guy. It a old age question that will never be answered there's so good women drivers that are better than been I feel stereotypically men drive more than women because we are better drives. We built the automobile and the roads so we know how to drive better.
Obvious drivers are individuals and differ wildly. That said, guys, especially younger ones, tend to be more reckless, doing 90 in 30 zones and the such. Women seem to often drive more distractedly, putting on makeup and things like that. Men tend to road rage more.
So, with lots and lots of exceptions, overall, guys tend to be more aggressive and women tend to be more distracted from trying to multitask. Which is worse? Not sure.
The car insurance companies will disagree, as little that policy has to live thanks to all the stupid gender ideology stuff. If it dies, good, they should be basing the charges on an individual basis right off the bat from the start.
They will argue that men under 25 (or is it 26) are the worst drivers. I have heard that they can't reasonably make that statement because men do not drive as much as women do but I don't know if even that is true.
Darn... really have to choose one or the other? By actual statistics wise, I'd say Men are BETTER DRIVERS. Why? Because there's more men who are interested in engineering, mechanics, and such... so there's more men who are actually interested of driving a car.
Statistically men. Men cause 71% of all road fatalities. They're more likely to speed, run stop signs, drive under the influence and commit risky behaviors in general.
Ok but actually on the road and number of licenses are to different stories. My mom has a license. Never drives. I canteen count how many mennO know would drive with no license. Some with a beer in hand too. Also, many women let their male. partners drive.
@DermalPunch that last one is irrelevant. We can also only work with the statistics we have. Nonetheless men still cause more accidents than women. Which has nothing to do with how many men or women are on the road.
Even if women drove the same milage as men, men still would be the top contributers to fatal accidents because they are more likely to engage in risky behaviors.
"According to the Federal Highway Administration, female drivers travel about 6,408 miles less than men annually. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that men cause on average 6.1 million accidents annually compared to the 4.4 million caused by women annually, meaning men account for 62% of all driving but only cause 58% of all accidents.
This means that women do cause more accidents on average per capita. But are women more dangerous drivers? Short answer: no, men are statistically worse drivers."
I'm not arguing. Maybe you are. If you had taken a stat of police men on the road actually documenting who was on the road in real time then yes. But holding a license does not mean you will be on the road and not holding a license doesn't mean that you won't take to the road ways. I then gave you a real life example.
@DermalPunch I know that. Hence why I said we can only use the statistics we have. The statistics we have is that men are far more dangerous drivers than women.
I said in my own answer the same thing. I was simply adding that men account for more fatalities that erhaps there are more on them on the road. I dontsee why you felt the need to take me to task since I was only butteressing your point.
yes, you are absoliutely right about that but I have seen plenty of females pass me on the highway like I was standing still and they are driving a little car like a Honda or a Toyota.
The less you drive, the less accidents you make. Men tend to drive more than women so that could also mean men have more successful drives. Of course what is always address are those fatal accidents that is recorded in Insurance companies but what is not address are those minor accidents like scratching someone's car, under speeding disrupting the traffic flow, not parking properly, being hesitant when making turns and more of those petty stuff which happens way more often than those deadly car accidents.
It only takes one accident to have it recorded but do they ever record successful drives? No they dont. Do you even consider those who actually deliver your mails, online groceries or what you shopped online, those who collect your garbage every time and etc? How many women do that though?
@Aiko_E_Lara non fatal accidents are also recorded, men also make more insurance claims than women in general. Driving well below the speed limit is considered risky behavior and you would get a ticket for that. But the other things are pretty hard to have a record of, most don't make someone a bad driver per se. You can be good at driving but shit at parking and vice versa. Being hesitant on making turns doesn't hurt anyone, apart from maybe irritate the person who could potentially be behind you. I see a bad driver as someone who does risky behaviors that put someone else or themselves in danger.
Actually disrupting the flow of traffic and actually get you bumped behind caused by hesitation and underspeeding which is dangerous and those who bumped you has the right of way. Nobody would actually expect you to slow down or stop when trying to make a turn in freeways/highways. The rest of what I said about men driving more frequently and longer still stands however
And if you think the rest of what I said are actually irrelevant, do you think they don't actually drive all day just to satisfy anyone? Which is why I ask how many women actually do that if they're such ''good drivers''?
Okay if you're not looking for an argument then what's your point making a claim here? Maybe you're just not interested now that you have nothing else to say about this
@Aiko_E_Lara I made my point, which is just statistics. I don't know why you seem to think me thinking men are worse drivers is an insult to individual people and professions. You can just disagree with me and move on.
Statistics also show that men drives way more and they drive longer. Statistics also show that men are more likely to become professional drivers. That is a counter argument to yours saying that men are worse drivers. However, it's just now that you have nothing else to counter my argument that make you lose interest in this topic. is that it?
Which contradicts your notion. If you agree that men drives more than that concludes why men are also more likely to cause accidents. Someone with a clean record on their license can also just mean they only been driving just one block away to pick up their kids not even regularly.
No, that’s a stereotype. Generally speaking, women’s depth perception is not as good their male counterparts. This means women are usually not as good at parking, and more likely to cause a minor accident, like a fender bender. Men, however, are usually the more aggressive drivers on the road. Men are much more likely to cause a serious accident.
It depends. Most girls don't make driving a priority. It's just something they have to do. While to guys being a skilled driver is almost a must. So we put slot more effort and time into it. The catch is some females do take driving as seriously as guys do, as a result they can drive very well.
from seeing people i know, i think men are more reckless whilst women are more careful, most of my close friends and family are women and those who drive are all pretty good so it really just depends on the person
Whoever is less experienced is the worst driver, but when you mix inexperience with impulsive, you have a reckless driver. It has a lot to do with personality
If you have less experience, they need to driver slower.. like speed limit speed… reckless to me is driving angry or showing off or rushing to be somewhere because you dont ma age your time well
The one who drive the most is the better driver. The more you do it, the better you should be at it. And more often than not it's the man who does the driving.
That was based on my personal life experiences/encounters while driving a school bus for years, and the experiences of most of my co-workers in the same job that have driven for many more years than I have.
You don't think a team of 23 drivers with combined experience of of over 400 years worth of driving school bus equals evidence? So many hours on the road and so many thousands of miles?
Are you one of the people that thinks whatever happens repeatedly, consistently, over many years, experienced by numerous people with the same results doesn't count as it happening?
It is evidence in the strict sense of the term, but it is too small a sample to accurately reflect the population average, which is what would be needed to answer the question. The 23 drivers is too little.

we should not touch such a question with a ten foot pole. maybe one day we will get back protected speech?

you need to modify your statistic and recalculate to compare time spent driving and days driven for both men and women.

@DermalPunch yeah and I quoted something that proves your point? I don't understand why you're seemingly upset...
The less you drive, the less accidents you make. Men tend to drive more than women so that could also mean men have more successful drives. Which contradicts your notion. If you agree that men drives more than that concludes why men are also more likely to cause accidents. Someone with a clean record on their license can also just mean they only been driving just one block away to pick up their kids not even regularly.
@Aiko_E_Lara ok.
Again. I am not. You are the one shooting tomes and paragraphs out.
@DermalPunch I've only said sentences to you but ok.
Have you seen a woman drive? It's like they don't care.
No, that’s a stereotype. Generally speaking, women’s depth perception is not as good their male counterparts. That greatly depends on age. generally men are better drivers when young and middle age, but worse drivers when old (60 +).
@HighValue you might be right. evidence?
That was based on my personal life experiences/encounters while driving a school bus for years, and the experiences of most of my co-workers in the same job that have driven for many more years than I have.
You really think anecdotes constitute evidence?
You don't think a team of 23 drivers with combined experience of of over 400 years worth of driving school bus equals evidence?

If it was 4000 drivers with 300 days of driving each it would be a better sample.
