Depends on species. Sharks for example those that have live young abandon them. They’re typically birthed with all they need to survive. Snakes and lizards don’t care for their young either they lay their eggs and then they’re to fend for themselves. Rabbits sure they’ll feed their young but they’re not going to protect them. Same with many rodents it’s why they have so many young so often because the survival rate is so small
