I read your growth hormone is stronger if you sleep in darker rooms so I try to cover all places where light can seep in with a fully closed door and closed blinds. I leave the door open if my parents are not home from a late night out so I can call the police if they don’t arrive home the next day.

I sleep with the door closed... but it's not to keep people out. The morning sun often shines in through a window in the hall that just happens to also shine through the door and onto the bed. Keeping the door closed keeps the sun from waking me up... when I don't want to be awakened.

I used to leave it open but when I woke up the house would be filled with homeless migrants, watching TV and scarfing down my food. Now it stays closed.

You have no idea how bad! His stable name is not Little Bugga for nothing. If he found me swinishly sleeping instead of preparing his breakfast, then he would run up the wall to sit on the dormer window sill.

Then jump down - 6 Kg of cat from a metre up does wake you up. If he knew I was semi asleep he would engineer it as a near miss hit for plausible deniability. I had to top and tail and put up with the pillow falling off.
