Is getting assaulted or harassed a common, frequent event to be expected or not?

Question

This might sound ironic but I've never had that happen, ever in my life. I must say my life has been quite peaceful. I've never been harassed either. The only argument I ever had with someone was verbal but that's it. Though I do have aces up my sleeve... should it ever escalate too far.

I'll just give one example. Let's say someone is so touchy and decides to place his hands on my privates. Ummm... turn into a lever that literally throws him. The person would likely find himself in a lot of pain since it's the ground and not a mat.

But seriously is getting assaulted a common event or not? Or do more people live a typical, average and common life never dealing with any of that?

People's personal experiences can vary, but GENERALLY, it's rare, UNLESS you come from a poor area (as opposed to a working-class area), because poor areas tend to also have poor morals and values, though there can be individual exceptions. Crimes of nearly all kinds tend to be much more common in poor areas as a result.

But if we're talking middle class, which is the majority of people, such harassment is fairly rare. Unfortunately, the Left has been pushing "Victim Olympics" as part of its Marxist-based ideology, and so you have a large portion of the population who is offended by everything and wants nothing more than to find some excuse to claim victimhood about something, so while there ARE *real* assaults and harassment issues, there's also a TON of completely invented issues because people are desperate to gain "victim points" for themselves and to "cancel" people the don't like by blaming them. That's wrong.

women will say they get assaulted or harassed very often men will say they have never assaulted or harassed any women at all now someone here is either telling a lie or exaggerating a truth or both

it happens,

i work in healthcare, so i deal with unruly patients sometimes, these days a lot. one in a bad mood and in herself entitlement slammed my hand in a door on purpose causing and issue with my hand to the point my finger had to be drained 7 times. one could classify that as assault-- i just chalk it up to an ahole being an ahole. but in my job you go through a lot more the one would think, its all on how you react. with covid the rise in self entitlements, selfish, i can't wait attitudes have reached an all time high
