How do you make life’s major decisions, with your head using logic or your heart using feelings?

How do you decide

For me it is logic unless my heart says no friggin’ way. I even decided to get married using logic.

Both.

I make preliminary judgements with my head. Pro and con lists, best and worst cases, etc.

Then, I take some time to put the logic away and check in with how I'm feeling about it.

Listening to my gut has almost always helped me out, or lead to better opportunities.

Taking both instinct and reason into account is how I make my biggest decisions.

I used to always go with my head all the time.. but that made me unhappy because I was just picking the smartest choice, not the best choice.. then I tried going with my heart and that went horribly but I learned somethings.. and grew from it.. so now I am back with my head LOL

My heart considers the options it likes and my brain picks the one option from these that is actually viable. If my heart is so stupid that it only pickes stupid options that my brain doesn`t seem viable, my brain has a veto right to choose other options by itself.

Head. It should always lean toward reason and evaluation.

Decisions should be 60/40...60 degrees reason, logic, rationality, pros and cons and 40 degrees empathy, emotion, mercy, kindness.

That is why women and men work good together in a healthy relationship or marriage. They need each others' view on things.

:D My heart governs my decisions, it doesn’t make them but has some input especially if deep down its not for me then it has complete authority to say no and it will bother me until I turn a choice down.

I just ask myself do I want to do it. Takes me 10 seconds max.

If it takes you over 30 seconds you don't know how to make a decision.

The wisdom of what I am saying is so subtle most people will reject it and think I'm an idiot. My comment is so wise and I did not learn it from myself but from some pretty impressive people. Some of who you know.

Go with your gut, I get it. I don’t make every decision that way but I have made some major ones and it worked out. Other decisions, I can vacillate though.

I just lightly hate the ‘listen to your heart’ thing on principle, but I know that’s a stupid hill to die on.

It’s all your brain... I’m not saying that feelings aren’t real or you don’t act on emotions.. But it’s just all coming from the pink squishy thing between your ears. Maybe your stomach.. (second largest place of neurons right?)

There have been my best decisions. The sales guy ran the computer… the car was perfect. One owners… took care of it like perfect.
Same with a few other things int life time.

I bought a property once in one day. It was a great decision as well. No regrets and wouldn’t change it. On the flip side, I can search for something to watch on a streaming service, look at the IMDB rating and still hate it.

A mix of both. Like, if something doesn't make me feel like it's right, or if I would be unhappy about it, then I wouldn't choose that direction.

But I also use logic. I'm a human, I use both.

Both, I have to weigh the pros and cons in any situation. But I'll do what's right in the end even if my heart breaks. So 60% head 40% heart.
