  My main advice is to write things down! I always got As (well almost always) bc I would write detailed notes in class and then I would type the notes into a laptop, then I would read the notes. By the time I did all that I was usually v. ready for tests and stuff, or I would notice things I didn't understand and takes notes about those things and then ask in class. In other things like work or my personal life I write down lists and then I go back later and see if I did it yet and mark things off the list when I am done. However one side effect is that some people make fun of me for it or find it annoying! I get teased a lot for being Miss Perfect and things like that.
